Database Administrator (DBA)

Location: King of Prussia, PA


The Database Administrator (DBA) is responsible for all aspects of data management and maintenance for the company including but not limited to reporting, SQL programming, business intelligence, and data warehouse. The Database Administrator (DBA) will also manage operation and security for all databases and associated items in Microsoft SQL. This position works closely with the ERP support and data analytics functions to build robust queries, stored procedures, perform ETL, and esure data integrity.

  • Works closely with Microsoft Dynamics ERP team to provide optimum solutions for database and BI.
  • Maintains and optimizes database performance
  • Collaborates with business users to define dashboards and reports
  • Monitors the performance and growth of the database and optimizes performance (manages indexes, reviews stored procedures, etc)
  • Develop data cleansing rules (extract, transform and load) for the company
  • Develop policies and procedures for the collection and analysis of data
  • Review and validate customer data as it is collected; correct data based on business rules
  • Oversee the deployment of data to the various applications
  • Review and analyze data from multiple internal and external sources
  • Maintains and creates documentation on database and business intelligence (policies/procedures, backups, access, moving changes to production, specifications / functional, technical documents and ERD diagrams)
  • Participate in planning process including inception, technical design, development, testing and delivery of data related solutions
  • Work with internal and external customers
  • Maintains reliable and secure user access to company data

  • Marketing Assessment & Strategy; create and implement a comprehensive marketing plan to enhance supplyFORCE position and image within the marketplace.
  • Build and maintain digital marketing strategy and social media presence
  • Develop budgets for the Marketing department
  • Ensure consistency internally and externally of all supplyFORCE print and electronic marketing materials including; letterhead, logo, presentations, handouts, website, newsletters, business cards, co-branding, etc.
  • Measure and report effectiveness of marketing programs, publications, and communications.
  • Maintain supplyFORCE website.
  • Manage newsletters including content management & development and design.
  • Create and develop supplyFORCE branded materials, including; Power Point presentations, brochures, cards, etc.
  • Design signage and provide promotional materials for the office, trade shows, and events.
  • Develop, manage, and facilitate manufacturer webinars in GoToWebinar.
  • Work with internal and external resources to plan, coordinate and execute annual National Meeting.
  • Manage registration and coordinate attendance for industry events.

Experience:

  • 6 to 8 years experience in a heavily data driven environment
  • Mastery levels in problem resolution and database best practices in a Microsoft SQL environment
  • Advanced understanding of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, preferably Microsoft Dynamics NAV/AX
  • Expert level skill set in dashboard and report creation with tools like Jet, etc.
  • Ability to design reports, tools, and other data solutions based on company needs
  • Previous exposure to, and working knowledge of .NET, perl, etc.
  • Advanced experience in deploying and maintaining Data Warehouses and Business Intelligence
  • Motivated to work quickly and accurately under pressure in time-critical situations

Minimum two to three years’ experience in marketing or industry served.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university in Computer Science or related field; or 10 years related experience (or equivalent combination of education and experience) 
  • Microsoft Certification a plus
